It has been awhile since Purdue has gotten a football commitment, but it may still be awhile as high school football is winding down across the country. Also, Purdue doesn't have many scholarships left to use. It is highly unlikely Purdue will lose anyone early to the NFL draft, and here is how things currently look up against the 85 scholarship limit:

Purdue has between 6 and 8 scholarships left open, depending on Rob Henry getting a potential sixth year (unlikely) and Gabe Holmes returning (Possible, as he had a redshirt year available. Let's just assume Purdue has seven spots.
I'd be willing to go offensive line on all seven. It is that badly needed. Purdue has just two offensive line commits in this class in Denzel Ward and Kirk Barron. Last year's had only one in Jason Tretter. It is clearly the biggest issue on the team, so I pray it gets addressed.

Simmie Cobbs - Oak Park-River Forest HS, IL - WR - SEASON COMPLETE
Tim Cason - Clarkston HS, MI - DB - Beat Rochester Adams 56-28 in Regional Final - Clarkston is A Division I Regional Champion in Michigna after an impressive win, their third in the state playoffs. Cason caught a 70-yard touchdown on offense as part of a four catch, 125-yard, 2 touchdown day. Clarkston moves on to the state semifinals against Flint Carman-Ainsworth.
Gelen Robinson - Lake Central HS, IN - DE/LB- SEASON COMPLETE
Denzel Ward - Simeon HS, Chicago, IL - OT - SEASON COMPLETE
Drue Tranquill - Carroll HS, Ft. Wayne, IN - DB/LB - SEASON COMPLETE
David Blough - Creekview HS, Carrollton, TX - QB - Lost To Frisco Centennial 17-9 - Blough's season come to an end in the Texas State playoffs' opening round with another close defeat. Blough rushed for 73 yards and threw for 71 with a touchdown in the fourth quarter, but it was not enough. Blough's final stats on the season: 121 of 227 for 1,549 yards, 14 touchdowns, 3 interceptions. He also rushed for 393 yards and six TDs.
Austin McGehee - Pine Bluff, AR HS - P - Beat Hall 48-0 - Pine Bluff advanced in the Arkansas playoffs with an easy opening-round win. Pine Bluff will face Siloam Springs in Round 2, which is the quarterfinal for class 6A.
Gregory Phillips - Arabia Mountain HS, Lithonia, GA - WR - SEASON COMPLETE
Kirk Barron - Marian HS, Mishawaka, IN - OL - SEASON COMPLETE
Trae Hart - First Baptist Academy, Dallas, TX - WR - Beat McKinney Christian 35-21 - In a rare close game First Baptist was held under 50 points. Hart was also held in check with just 3 catches for 16 yards. They are taking apart in a separate private school tournament. This week they get a Covenant Christian team they already defeated 68-14.
