There are two more commits being tracked now with Simmie Cobbs and Tim Cason now included:
Simmie Cobbs - Oak Park River Forest HS, IL - WR - Lost to Glenbard West 20-14 - This was the first loss of the season for Cobbs' team, which started 5-0 and cracked 35 points in three of the first five games. Cobbs had eight catches for only 30 yards, but these two very good teams could see each other later in the state tournament.
Tim Cason - Clarkston HS, MI - DB - Beat Pontiac 41-14 - Cason's team also moved to 5-1 and has been undefeated after losing its season opener 12-7. Pontiac is a winless team, but there was no information other than a score.
Gelen Robinson - Lake Central HS, IN - DE/LB - Beat Chesterton 14-13 - Lake Central made sure that this week's game with Merrillville will decide the Duneland Conference, but just barely. LC moves to 6-1 overall and 5-0 in their conference with the close victory. They are also now ranked No. 10 in the state in class 6A.
Denzel Ward - Simeon HS, Chicago, IL - OT - Beat Chicago Vocational 30-7 - I think Ward is out with a minor injury, as he mentioned on Twitter that he has not been able to practice or play. His team is still having success without him, however. There are also some highlights available through Hudl now.
Drue Tranquill - Carroll HS, Ft. Wayne, IN - DB/LB - beat Homestead 51-34 - Tranquill continued to tear it up for Carroll, who is now 5-2 and just outside the top 10 of the state's Class 6A poll at No. 12. The link here has video highlights, but Tranquill ran for 233 yards on only 16 carries and scored five touchdowns. I think it was at least his third five TD game of the season.
David Blough - Creekview HS, Carrollton, TX - QB - Beat Newman South 20-13 - Blough's offensive output was limited again, but at least they won this week. He threw for 85 yards on 6 of 9 attempts with a touchdown in the victory.
Austin McGehee - Pine Bluff, AR HS - P - Beat Bryant 9-3 - McGehee, who also serves as his team's placekicker, had a big day in kicking three field goals for the victory.
Gregory Phillips - Arabia Mountain HS, Lithonia, GA - WR - ON BYE
Kirk Barron - Marian HS, Mishawaka, IN - OL - Lost 20-0 to South Bend Riley - This loss knocked Marian out of the top 10 in class 3A and to just 4-3 overall.
Trae Hart - First Baptist Academy, Dallas, TX - WR - Beat Legacy Christian Academy 56-28 - Hart's team is the only one left of the tracked recruits that is undefeated, and they continue to put up big numbers. The Exponent recently did a story on him after he caught 108 passes for 2,044 yards last season. Through the first four games this year he had 19 catches, 445 yards, and seven scores.
