As usual, I am in section 128. Here are the rest of the staff predictions for today with your TV schedule to follow:
Steve Landrey
After a frustrating loss in South Bend the Boilers will be looking to regain their confidence and momentum back at Ross-Ade. Purdue's defense gave Notre Dame a run for their money with good coverage and 5 sacks. Seeing as Notre Dame has an offensive line of seasoned vets, I don't think Eastern Michigan will be able to handle this pass rush we are going to throw at them. It will be interesting to see how Hope handles the offense now that Marve is out, but I still see Purdue racking up the points and putting a hurtin' on EMU's offense.
Purdue: 42, Eastern Michigan: 7
James Collins
This is a team which couldn't contain a Ball State offense that while okay, lacks the talent at pretty much every position that we can boast. With a more settled quarterback situation and a chip on their shoulder from last week's defeat in South Bend, I expect Purdue to come out quickly and hit EMU in the mouth. I'm predicting over 300 yards rushing for us, and a comfortable 35 point win. If you missed the University Bookstore sale from the first game, this one should be a nice consolation. Purdue 52 EMU 17
Juan Crespo
This game worries me. Not because EMU is good, but because Purdue could still be a bit hungover from the ND lose. I remember back in 2009 when NIU came into town after Purdue's close loss at Oregon. Granted, jet lag may have been a slight factor and may have been looking forward to the Notre Dame game the next week, but at the end of the day, Purdue just choked against a beatable MAC team. This year, Purdue comes off the tough close loss at Notre Dame, but this time there is no jet lag and just a bye week next week. Purdue may still be hurt with Marve on the sideline, and I don't think Terbush will move the offense quickly at first. The game will start off a little close, but I think Purdue will out power EMU and go into the bye with a win.
Purdue 35, EMU 10

On the surface, this game looks like a laugher. In practice, it damn well better be. Terbush doesn't have to look over his shoulder anymore, so we should see some good plays out of him. If not, the team is in some trouble. Give RH some work in the Wild Siller/Henry/whatever and this team should be just fine.
Purdue 38, EMU 7
John Wadas
The TerBush and Henry show has it's grand premiere, and there's very little that EMU can do to spoil the party. Boilers roll in a classic "get some chores done" snoozer, 41-10.

Purdue comes back home to recuperate from a devastating and questionable lose in South Bend today. Clearly bloodthirsty, our solid starting defensive unit comes to play and gives our offense a ton of support. On the other side of the ball, TerBush has a nice day passing the ball and Shavers goes over 100 yards on the ground. Overall, it is an impressive performance, given that we are playing a MAC team and the MAC came to play against the Big Ten in Week 1. At the final whistle, Purdue rolls out of Ross-Ade with a 35-7 win.
