75 Days To Purdue Football: Josh Davis

Depth on the offensive line is something that every team looks to gain. Red-shirt sophomore Josh Davis gives the Boilermaker's a quality reserve to develop for the future. Davis didn't play his freshmen season, and will most likely not see the field this upcoming one either, unless there is an injury. Which this is Purdue University, so there is not telling what could happen with the health of our players.

Josh Davis - So. (RS)

Hometown: Plain City, OH (Jonathan Alder HS)

Offensive Tackle

6'5, 294 pounds

2012 Projection: Reserve at offensive guard/tackle

Davis is a player who could be moved all over the line. He's listed as a tackle, but he's expected to be a versatile option and could play center, guard, and tackle. Davis is part of a young core of offensive linemen that we will be seeing take over here over the next few years. Davis is a student of the game, and loves to be coached and learn where his strengths and weaknesses are. With this kind of attitude, Davis has nowhere to go but up, and could blossom into a special player for the future.
