Maybe it is me feeling emotional after watching the Robbie Hummel Senior Day episode of The Journey, but I want to win this whole damn tournament to send him out the right way. Of course, that's a long way off, but getting this one tonight will obviously go a long way toward that.
The afternoon sessions was quite busy. Doc Sadler and Bruce Weber did not survive the day as the coaches at Nebraska and Illinois, respectively. Michigan State beat an Iowa team that didn't bother to play any defense. Rob Wilson went completely apeshit for 30 points against Indiana, and their fans naturally complained about the grave injustice of the officials even though Wisconsin had more fouls called against them. All in all, it has been a good day so far.
Only in 2004 and 2009 have all four teams in the semifinals been teams that received a Thursday bye, and never have the top four seeds survived to Saturday unscathed. Only us and Minnesota can keep Thursday pride alive.
Let's do this!
