During last night's game (thankfully a laugher) a lot of people sent me tweets about our incoming basketball recruits. that makes today's post a very easy one. It's time to load up some video and see the future of Purdue basketball. I was hoping to see Bryson Scott play my Kokomo Wildkats tomorrow night, but it looks like I won't be able to. Bryson leads off our coverage with a nice dunk from earlier this week when Ft. Wayne Northrop beat Homestead, who was ranked in the state's top 10;
Next up we have Ronnie Johnson dropping 27 on Hamilton Southeastern earlier in the year. North Central has played a brutal schedule this year against some of the best talent in the state. RJ has played personally against Zak Irvin, Gary Harris, Yogi Ferrell, Kellen Dunham, D.J. Balentine, Basil Smotherman, as well as highly rated Warren Central, Muncie Central, and Carmel teams. This Tuesday they open the state tournament with a third and final game against Hamilton Southeastern. NC won the regular season game (seen here), but lost to them in the Hall of Fame Classic, mostly because Kokomo wore them down in the morning game. I may have to go to the third HSE-NC game at Noblesville, which should be fantastic.
The next one is incoming center A.J. Hammons, who can make a big difference next year, especially if it means Travis Carroll moves out to his more natural position at the four.
To round out the 2012 class, here are some LaPorte LaLumiere highlights with Raphael Davis and Jay Simpson
I even have some more 2013 video to go with Bryson Scott. here is Kendall Stephens:
And, finally, Basil Smotherman
