Xavier at Purdue: The Revenge GameThread

Purdue seeks redemption for last seasons' collapse at Xavier's

Michael Hickey

It is always a good Saturday afternoon when Purdue basketball is on. This is especially true on dreary December and January Saturday afternoon's when there is not much else to do because the weather in Indiana sucks. That is what we get today.

Here is what I would like to see:

  • The further development of A.J. Hammons as an offensive weapon.
  • It is strange to say, but Purdue's dominance in rebounding.
  • Ronnie Johnson's further development at the point.
  • Anthony Johnson becoming more of a pure shooter.
  • Terone Johnson becoming the go-to guy when we need a basket to break a run like Wednesday.
  • Travis Carroll continuing his run of solid play despite shaving the beard.
  • Jay Simpson or Rapheal Davis break out of their respective funks.

So sit back, relax, and enjoy a full Purdue-centric day. Right after the basketball game Juan will take over as the Volleyball team plays Florida State with a Sweet 16 berth on the line. I'll be at the Big Ten title game tonight running an Open Thread there too.
