This is probably the last time I can say this during the 2011 season, but I am guaranteeing a win today. It would take a royal screw up to lose this, so let's use it as a building block to move forward from the Rice loss and build for the rest of the year. In that regard, I am focusing on the players and refraining from airing more grievances against the coaches. Here is what I would like to see today:
- If Robert Marve and Caleb TerBush both play, I want to see someone emerge as the better option for the season. If Marve is good enough to steal a game or two int he Big Ten, so be it.
- I want to see Akeem Shavers and Ralph Bolden both eclipse 100 yards. There is no reason they shouldn't.
- I want to see The defensive line be active in the backfield.
- I want someone, anyone, to cover the middle on third & long.
- I want to see more development from the receivers. They can make Marve/TerBush look really good or really bad.
- I want to have fun with a comfortable win for just one day this season.
As mentioned, I have X-fest tickets postgame, so Riley will be taking you home via the game wrap. I have a new browser to try out commenting via phone from section 128, but if that doesn't work I'll be on Twitter as usual. You guys are the OpenThread champs, so I expect a Lord of the Flies-esque battle for supremacy in the thread.
