Today I can resume the countdown, as Austen Moret is the next player up.He gets to stay on the site for an extra day as there is no #64, either.
Austin Moret - Sr.
Hometown: Whitefish Bay, WI (Whitefish Bay HS)
Center
6'2", 293 pounds
2010 Projection: Contributor on Special Teams
Like many little known players, Austin Moret is a former walk-on that has scrapped his way up to see a little regular playing time. He redshirted in 2007 and played against Northern Colorado in 2008. In 2009 he saw action in all 12 games at special teams and as a reserve on the offensive line. Last year he saw a little more action, and currently he is listed as the #2 center on the depth chart behind Peters Drey. Being a fifth year senior, it is nice to have a player with his experience as a solid backup.
Moret has seen quite a few of his teammates in recent years. He helped Whitefish Bay to a solid season as the Blue Dukes gave up the fewest yards in their conference during the 2005 high school season. Indiana punter Chris Hagerup and Central Michigan defender Nick Bellore were among his high school teammates.
