This Saturday is Purdue's spring game, one of the earliest in the country. For once, I won't be out of state, either. This is normally the time of year Mrs. T-Mill and I head to Florida for some baseball. We would have missed this year's spring game because her Hurricanes have a home series this weekend against North Carolina State where they are honoring the 2001 National Champions, but we were told that they were doing that cermony against Florida State in three weeks.
There loss is our gain as it means we get to attend the spring game, one of hte first "outdoor" activities of hte year after the long winter. There has been talk of a gathering of readers to sit together, and I know there will be plenty of space. Therefore, lets try to all get together in section 122, which is about the north 15-20 yard line. We'll sit and watch as Rob Henry continues to cement his role as likely starter. I'm also looking forward to seeing Reggie Pegram's progress and Akeem Shavers at running back.
This is our first chance to see what we can expect int he fall, which is hopefully at least six wins and a bowl game.
