The Boilers Clean House With Big Ten Awards

Defense Lives Here

That's all I can say after Purdue took home its fourth straight Defensive Player of the Year award and its sixth in nine seasons. It is incredibly awesome that JaJuan Johnson is Purdue's third ever Big Ten Player of the Year, but the fact that he also took home the Defensive POTY award, continuing the three straight established by Chris Kramer and two for Kenneth Lowe in 2003 and 2004, is incredibly awesome. It shows Purdue's commitment on that side of the ball and the hard work it entails. We're also extremely proud of JJ because we have seen how much work he has put in. This is a guy we saw grow up before our eyes. I feel like a proud parent, in a way.

Of course, JJ, wasn't the only one to take home some honors. Here are our other honors tonight:

Matt Painter - Coach of the Year

E`Twaun Moore - 1st Team All-Big Ten

JaJuan Johnson - 1st Team All-Big Ten

Lewis Jackson - Honorable Mention All-Big Ten

E`Twaun Moore -  Purdue's Sportsmanship Award Recipient

Consider this your thread to honor these guys, as well as the team as a whole.
