The sports world has taken off and run with a forum post by Bernie Miklasz, a beat writer for the STL Post Dispatch that claims (without confirmation) that Painter may as well be on his way over to Mizzou. However, other sources confirmed at the time that neither Purdue or Mizzou had heard from Painter by phone. As of now, one or the other (and likely both) have some indication of what Painter is physically doing, if not what his intentions are.
