PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Barrett Serrato, Purdue
Jr., SS/DH, West Chicago, Ill. / West Chicago
Serrato earns his first career Player of the Week honor after leading Purdue to a 2-1 record in the Big East-Big Ten Baseball Challenge over the weekend. The junior hit .667, reached base at a .700 clip and slugged 1.000, combining for an OPS of 1.700. The shortstop/designated hitter totaled four RBI and scored three runs over three games and had two multi-hit contests. Serrato opened the season going 2-for-3 with a double and a walk, scoring two runs and driving in another in the Boilermakers' 10-2 win over No. 22 Connecticut on Friday. He went 1-for-2 with a triple, an RBI and a run the following day against Notre Dame, then wrapped up the weekend by going 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI in a win over Pittsburgh.

PITCHER OF THE WEEK
RHP, Sr., Fishers, Ind. / Hamilton Southeastern
Morgan picks up his first career Pitcher of the Week honor after earning the win in Purdue's 10-2 victory against No. 22 Connecticut in the Big East-Big Ten Baseball Challenge. The senior tossed 5.2 scoreless innings in the start, striking out five while surrendering just three hits and two walks, allowing opposing batters to hit just .150.

FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK
Josh Dezse, Ohio State
RP/DH, Powell, Ohio / Olentangy Liberty
Dezse takes home the first ever Big Ten Freshman of the Week award after batting .583 and making two relief appearances for Ohio State in the Big East-Big Ten Baseball Challenge over the weekend. At the plate, the designated hitter recorded multiple hits in all three games, including a double, and recorded two RBI and scored one run. On the mound, he allowed one run in one inning of work against No. 21 Louisville on Saturday before tossing two shutout frames against St. John's in the Buckeyes' 8-7 extra-inning win.
