Coppin State At Purdue: the "Hey, We Do Have A Basketball Game Today" GameThread

My apologies for not having a full-fledged preview on this game. Honestly, it is a bit of a forgotten game since live coverage will only be provided on BTN.com and it is a noon tip off on the day we're going to go rescue our Bucket. We're playing the Coppin State Eagles, We're 2-0 all-time against them, winning in 1999 and 2008, both in Mackey Arena.

Coppin State enters with a 1-3 record and its only win was against a non-Division I team. They did play UConn to a 17 point game on November 20, but this is a MEAC team that often has to play for paychecks this early int he season. In all honestly, this will likely be one of our lowest rated opponents by the time all is said and done. We have made the NCAA Tournament in both seasons we have played. They last made the tournamen tin 2008 when they lost in the play-in game against Mount St. Mary's.

They are a decent scoring team with Tony Gallo averaging better than 20 points per game. Micheal Harper and Akeem Ellis also average in double figures. This still should be an easy win for our Boilers, as our next two games will be the real tests of the non-conference season.
