Last week's ballot |
Dropped Out: Houston (#16), Oklahoma State (#18), Utah (#23), Northwestern (#24).
Thoughts: Yes, I think Cincy is number two. They had more wins over ranked teams and looked more impressive over the course of the season. They won't get their chance, but neither will Boise or TCU.
About Boise - While Cincy and TCU were probably pissed about that last second Texas field goal, Boise was elated. I don't see how they don't get into the BCS now, and someone should be brought up on charges if they don't.
Oregon vs. Ohio State - As Bill Simmons would say, I will now light myself on fire knowing we beat one and should have beaten the other.
The rest of the poll - Meh. Who doesn't wish we could have seen an underrated Dan LeFevour simply tear apart Notre Dame in a bowl game. You're really going to wake up the echoes by ducking the Chips, you Nancy Boys.
