Welcome to the Fold: Tracking Edition week 13

New, 2 comments

This is a scheduled post tonight, as I am currently at the Colts-Patriots game here in Indy. I love being a season ticket hold that gets to keep the games I want and sell the rest. It rules!

There is a huge update this week. Many of the Florida guys are done as the Sunshine state finished it regular season. The three Pennsylvania guys are awaiting the playoffs, while everyone else is deeply involved in their state playoffs. Here is what we have as the season winds down and they get ready to become Boilers soon:

Sean Robinson - QB - Rochester, IL (Rochester) - Robinson was very impressive for Rochester as the #1 rated Rockets dominated Quincy Notre Dame 45-26 in the Illinois class 4A state quarterfinals. He ran 15 times for 50 yards, completed 18 of 30 passes for 287 and had four touchdowns in the win. Rochester is now in the class 4A final four and will host Metamora with a trip to the state finals at the University of Illinois on the line.

Joe Gilliam - LB - Southport, IN (Southport) - Season complete: Final Stats can be found here.

Charles Torwudzo - WR - Brownsburg, IN (Brownsburg) - Chuck T's season is over as Warren Central squeezed out a 14-6 win over the host Bulldogs in the Class 5A quarterfinals. Torwudzo caught two passes for 19 yards in his season finale as Brownsburg kept the ball on the ground for the most part.

Jeremy Cornelius - WR - Harrisburg, PA (Bishop McDevitt) - Bishop McDevitt is now a perfect 10-0 after beating Harrisburg 42-24 in its district championship opener Saturday. Cornelius had a huge day in the win with three catches for 120 yards and touchdowns of 35 and 70 yards. McDevitt will play Governor Mifflin in round two next week.

De'Ron Flood - TE - O'Fallon, IL (O'Fallon) - the second game with East St. Louis was much closer, but the result was the same as O'Fallon was eliminated 27-14 in the Illinois Class 7A quarterfinals. Flood did not go down without a fight, catching 10 passes for 117 yards.

Josh Davis - DT - Plain City, OH (Jonathan Alder) - SEASON OVER. No final stats available.

Mike Lee - LB - Pittsburgh, PA (Woodland Hills) - Woodland Hills is also in tournament play and easily won its district quarterfinal game over Central Catholic 27-3.

Ryan Isaac - DE - Michigan City, IN (Michigan City) - SEASON OVER. No final stats available.

E.J. Johnson - DB - Cocoa, FL (Cocoa) - Cocoa was challenged for the first time since week two, but came through with a 44-37 win over Jacksonville Bolles to finish the regular season 10-0. Cocoa will open the state tournament at home against Orlando Jones High in round one as they look to defend their Class 2A state title. It was the first loss in 22 games for Bolles, and first regular season loss in 42 games.

Will Lucas - LB - Lakeland, FL (Lakeland) - Lakeland also finishes the regular season 10-0 with a late 28-21 win over rival Kathleen.

Jesse Schmitt - LS - Louisville, KY (Trinity) - Trinity continues to play well in the Kentucky state tournament with a 42-10 win over Shelby County. That puts them in the Class 6A quarterfinals against Louisville Male.

Jhony Faustin - DB - Naples, FL (Lely) - SEASON COMPLETE. Partial final stats can be found here.

Isaiah Williams - WR - Miami, FL (Monsignor Pace) - Pace finished its season with a big win over Cardinal Gibbons.

Cody Webster - P - Harrisburg, PA (Central Dauphin East) - Webster's season is over after he dislocated a shoulder. CD East finished 1-8 this year and will not qualify for the playoffs.

Reggie Pegram - RB - Dallas, TX (James Madison) - Pegram's season is over after Madison lost its opening round playoff game 24-17 to Kenndale.

O.J. Ross  -WR - Daytona, FL (Mainland) - Mainland beat Seabreeze 27-13 in the regular season finale, but I could not find a game story despite this being the "Biggest rivalry in the Daytona area." You guys might want to get out and cover that.

Chevin Davis - WR - Daytona, FL (Mainland) - See above

Ricardo Allen - DB - Daytona, FL (Mainland) - See above
