Last week's ballot |
Dropped Out: West Virginia (#19), Central Michigan (#20), Texas Tech (#21), South Carolina (#22).
Some Thoughts:
Oklahoma State - I almost dropped them entirely. Next time, show up when you face a top 3 team at home.
Welcome Wisconsin - A bunch of team falling from the bottom helped, but the Badgers were damned impressive in person.
Oregon plays the waiting game - To me, they are the best 1-loss team, making Purdue's close call with them even more surprising. They have to wait for losses above them to move up though. Arizona, who has never played in a Rose Bowl, is the only team that controls their destiny in the Pac-10 with Oregon.
No Notre Dame - Sorry, I am not buying it yet. Not win four wins are more a result of Michigan State, Purdue, Washington, and Boston College screwing it up than ND beating them. If they beat Navy I will consider it.
