Purdue Athletics
Coach Shondell gives us a preview of what we should expect this weekend from two talented teams.
Ohio State and Penn State are both very talented team. Ohio State started off the season a little bit sluggish but have been on fire since Purdue last played them in Columbus a month ago. We all know the story about Penn State, winning the National Title 4 years in a row and reloading last season with a new talented recruiting class. They are looking to win their 5th National Title in the last 6 years under Russ Rose's 34th year with the Nittany Lions. The last time Purdue beat PSU was back in 2010 on the Friday before Fall Break. PSU won the first 2 sets and it seemed like they were on their way to beating Purdue yet again. But Shondell fired up this team at the intermission, and Purdue went on to win in an amazing 5-set game. Purdue looks to repeat history this weekend, this time in legendary Mackey Arena. Tickets are still available, $5 for the lower bowl, $2 for the upper bowl.
