As we were talking about what to do with the new concrete slab in the South End Zone, Gold and Black tweeted out the plans Morgan Burke has for the area in the short and long term.
#Purdue AD Morgan Burke says interim south EZ will have Shively Club-like food/drink service: "Let’s treat adults as adults."— GoldandBlack.com (@GoldandBlackcom) June 13, 2014

Interim #Purdue south EZ to feature food/drink, TVs, tents, landscaping, table tops, 1,000 seats. Final details finalized over next 30 days— GoldandBlack.com (@GoldandBlackcom) June 13, 2014
More replays on #Purdue vid board this fall. AD Burke: You won’t be able to sit there, saying ‘Well, at home I would have been able to see.’— GoldandBlack.com (@GoldandBlackcom) June 13, 2014
Good news is that we won't have to stare at concrete this season in the south end zone. This probably isn't the most exciting thing that could be featured in the south end zone, but it is something that will be good in the short term. I'm not sure how adding more replays will bring more people into the stands. I hardly pay attention to the replays to begin with unless I missed a play/it was outside of my line of view.
And last but not least, Burke does plan on adding lights with new Ross-Ade:
Upgrades at #Purdue's stadium will incl vid boards, sound & poss lights. Burke: “We’re going to get more pressure, we know, to do (lights).”— GoldandBlack.com (@GoldandBlackcom) June 13, 2014
