Glenn Robinson III - "It was my dream early on to go to Purdue".
I know he didn't blow up until late in his junior year, but I wonder if we couldn't have found a way to get that guy a scholly
The new hammerandrails site sucks. TMill, was this an SBNation update? What a cluster f*ck. There is stuff everywhere. And the fonts look terrible.
"Yo, What about Robbie Hummel?" I think Rick Adelman may wear a Robbie Hummel jersey under his suit this winter. I’m serious; he’s going to love Hummel. Hummel was the shooter that was advertised (3-6; 6 pts), very active on both ends (+13) and the glass (6 rebounds), and showed some passing ability. If Robbie’s knees allow, he could be a potential Wayne Ellington replacement.
Just got official word from BTN, all Purdue games at Gary Regional this weekend will be live on @BigTenNetwork. Friday vs Valpo at 8 ET.
Drake Transfer mentions Purdue:
Drake transfer Rayvonte Rice, a 6-foot-4 shooting guard, is considering Illinois among a number of other schools, according to his former AAU coach Mike Weinstein.
Weinstein said Rice is looking at Illinois, Kansas State, Marquette, Missouri, Nebraska, Purdue, Virginia, USC and Xavier as possible destinations after announcing recently he will transfer after his sophomore season at Drake. Rice, who played at Centennial High School in Champaign, Ill., averaged 16.5 points and 5.7 rebounds this season for Drake.
"He wants to play on a bigger stage," Weinstein said Tuesday. "He wants to get better. He’s excited about it."
Weinstein said Rice is trying to narrow his choices and determine which schools to visit.
Feb. 01, 2012 9:32 p.m. - by Phil Friend - Painter to go with small-ball vs. Indiana
Coach Matt Painter expects to use his small-ball offense, with F Robbie Hummel playing C surrounded by four Gs -- D.J. Byrd, Terone Johnson, Ryne Smith and Lewis Jackson -- against Indiana on Saturday. "Sometimes it’s best to focus in on your team and have (opponents) adjust to you," Painter said.
Hey guys, I know i have mentioned this in the past, but here are the details for the H&R tailgate this weekend. We're going to do it after the game, since these noon kickoffs give us much more time afterwards. Feel free to swing by the Slayter Hill lot and say hi as the Boiled Sports guys should be there, as well as some of the Iowa contingent coming via bus. Mrs. T-Mill and I are making Boilermaker Tailgate Chili and we have a case of Yuengling we're bringing. We don't have a big fancy tent, but look for a Black Jeep Liberty with Purdue and Miami stuff on the back window.
