Further proof that Tim Doyle "is what we thought he was"
Purdue's CBI bid offers a look into exactly who these guys are. Who has the heart to play when there's seemingly nothing to play for? Who's ready to leave an impression on Painter? How does this team handle being a target? We'll get some answers in March instead of November.
We recap the tail end of the Purdue Boilermakers' men's basketball regular season, and hand out traditional Big Ten awards (POY, 1st/2nd/3rd teams, 6th Man, DPOY, All-Freshman team), along with a few alternative awards (Doucher of the Year, Crankiest Coach, All-Fun team, All-Ugly Team, Goober of the Year). We also give our thoughts on both the NCAA Tournament and the CBI, previewing Purdue's matchup with Western Illinois.
Just for the fun of it
ISL's Doug Griffiths thought Purdue could make a run. Nebraska had other plans.
Doug Griffiths is in Chicago. He makes his Big Ten picks (you won't like who he picks to win it all). Also, Griffiths and Sam Klemet preview Purdue-Nebraska. The link is to the Purdue tab on ISL.
I wish this paper would shut down/close. The comments section is full of iudome. I hate it.
A Gold and Black article on Basil Smotherman.
What should happen this weekend.
Mostly because he deserves it, but partially just to put it to the Indy media and its homerism.
