This curse has even affected the immortal!

And the proverbial shit continues to rain down on us. Fortunately, the next eight games (minus Northwestern) should all be easy wins.

Yet another torn ACL for Purdue

2

In the 1st set during the 2nd round of the NCAA Volleyball Tournament against Louisville, Sophomore Anna Drewry looked like she hurt her knee after coming down from a kill (which she did get). It did not look good when she was down and she needed help to get off the court. Eerily it looked the same as when Hummel, Marve, and KK walked off the court/field after they tore their ACLs. She came back on crutches during the 3rd set. Sure enough I found out earlier that she torn her ACL and MCL. I hope she can make a full recovery, Drewry is a great player and we will miss her on the court against Florida in the Sweet 16.

New Rankings Out

Purdue Drops to #22. I wanted to be upset about how far we fell given the other teams that lost recently. And then I remembered that we only scored 14 points in the first half.

Purdue Lands 2013 Target Bryson Scott

6

Purdue landed its first target in the class of 2013, point guard Bryson Scott (Fort Wayne Northrop). Scott averaged 18 points and nearly 5 rebounds as a freshman and is widely believed to be one of the top prospects in the state. ESPN's analysis of Scott (from April): He is a good athlete and always plays extremely hard. He is always in attack mode. Despite his size, he plays big. He is a good slasher and is not afraid to go in amongst the trees in the paint. He is a streaky shooter with range to 20 feet. He is a solid defender who takes pride in stopping his opponents. He is a good rebounder for his size who uses great effort to grab the ball in a crowd. Like his brother he is a max effort player who is good now and has a solid upside. We'll have more on Scott and the impact it has on other recruits later.
