Myles Norwood – Jr.
Arlington, TX (Grace Prep HS)
6’, 174 pounds
Cornerback
2016 Projection: Possible starter at cornerback
Norwood has experience for Purdue, but only in limited roles on special teams. He was originally a wide receiver that put up absurd numbers for a small high school in Texas. His senior season he caught 47 passes for 1,010 yards and 16 touchdowns. That was good enough to make him an all-state selection.
Since then he has played in 21 games and has gathered five tackles, mostly on special teams. He never managed to get into the rotation as a receiver, but has moved to cornerback and it seems like a good fit. He is battling for the No. 2 corner spot and may have a slight edge over Tim Cason and Kamal Hardy.
