College Football "Grid of Shame" in the Wall Street Journal

Not sure if it's visible to non-subscribers, but the WSJ published a "grid of shame." The Y axis is "Admirable" down to "Embarrassing". The X axis is "Weakling" to "Powerhouse".

Purdue stands alone in the upper left, an Admirable Weakling. A big chunk of the Big 10, along with Clemson, UCLA and Stanford, anchor the top of the graph (most admirable from weakling to powerhouse): Purdue, Minnesota, IU, Northwestern (the highest "admirable" value), Nebraska, Wisky, Clemson, Stanford and UCLA.

Notre Dame sits on the X axis, and ... well, Penn State is the lowest school shown (a middling powerhouse with the most embarrassment value of any school).

At first glance, only Purdue, Illinois, Maryland and Penn State are not in the 1st quadrant (Admirable Powerhouses).
