Football season is right around the corner. Last year's predictions were disastrous, with fans expecting winning 5.7 games on average, 78% of folks thought Henry would start 10 games, and 76% thought Etling will redshirt! This is a new season so let's see how we go. All questions below are about the REGULAR season (thus excluding any bowl game). I'll summarize the entries that were submitted before kickoff on Saturday so feel free to edit until then (e.g. last year bball prediction has a massive edit when Hammons was suspended to start the season):
- How many regular season games will Purdue win?
- For the season, what is passing yards as a percentage of our rushing yards? (to give an idea, last year we passed for 2590 and rushed for 805, so it is 359%; Wisky is 2562 passing / 3689 rushing = 69%, and IU is 3680 passing / 2422 rushing = 152%)
- Rushing was atrocious last year (67 ypg). What will be our rushing yards per game this year?
- For the season, what is Appleby's pass-attempt as a percentage of Etling's pass attempt?
- How many games Appleby will start?
- Points scored per game
- Points allowed per game
- Rank the Top 3 players by rushing yards gained (may include non-RBs)
- Rank the Top 3 players by receiving yards gained (may include non-WRs)
- What is our turnover margin? (i.e TOs created - TOs lost)
Tie breaker: who wins the bucket game, and combined points scored
And just to get a feel about the fans:
How would you define success for this season?
