IU student in plane crash

When it comes to Purdue sports there is no bigger rival than the school down south, Indiana University. At times this rivalry can devolve in hatred and cruel chants, but when tragedy strikes (like the shooting up here at Purdue in January) we can and do set aside our sports driven passion. Not sure how many people seen this yet, but one of the people that died in the flight MH17 crash was an IU doctoral student and member of the IU women's rowing team, Karlijn Keijzer. Sometimes we forget that we are all students of the same conference, same state, and that all that is separating us is about 2 hours of driving.

All of victims and families and friend of the victims of the MH17 flight are in the thoughts and prayers of everyone around the world, but here in the Purdue community we should especially have Karlijn Keijzer, as well as those who knew her, in our thoughts and prayers.
