I was curious as to last year's (2013-14) KenPom ratings for this season's non-con schedule vs last year's non-con schedule. These rankings are end-of-season rankings, and the 2014-15 rankings will change before the season begins. This comparison is based on last season's teams.
Depending on which three teams we play in Maui, the average KP ranking of our non-conference opponents will likely be somewhere between 11.7 and 22.1 higher than last season (assuming we don't have to play Chaminade). Not much of an improvement from last season, but appropriate for a young team in my opinion.
EDIT: Forgot to add, Purdue was ranked #97 by KenPom last season.
