The mood around Purdue football has been...let's just say less than stellar lately.
After Darrell Hazell went 1-11 in his first Purdue season, many people lost interest and hope in the coach in his first year. I know many of the people who comment in the H&R community continue to have faith in Hazell. I applaud those of you who are holding ship in this rebuild.
I believe Hazell will be a success in the long term. You all know my view: The talent level Purdue had last season was basically MAC level - results against a top five national schedule weren't going to be good.
Today I remembered a video I watched soon after Hazell was hired. It's this leadership that makes me hold my belief. It's about the younger guys buying in with what the coaches are teaching. We all saw and heard things about how some of the seniors on the 2013 team were poor leaders on and off the field.
