Basketball Storylines for the Weekend

The Spring Game might not be the only thing happening this weekend as Purdue is supposed to host former Roncolli and Youngstown State basketball player, Ryan Weber. Weber averaged 12.2 points as a 42% three point shooter and has the length to shoot over some opponents at 6'-6". Also, Purdue is reportedly now in the mix for Boston University PG transfer Mo Watson Jr. He will be visiting Creighton, Illinois, and could visit Purdue soon. Another topic of interest is the fact that California is reportedly targeting Xavier's coach, Chris Mack. I find this to be significant as Chris Mack has been recruiting Indiana well over his tenure and his potential departure could mean: A) a slight setback for Xavier's Indiana recruiting presence or B) Indiana will just export more high school basketball talent to California. Either way, it makes one wonder if Trevon Bluiett will honor his LOI to Xavier without the coach that signed him. Mack has also been a key suitor for our departing Ronnie Johnson (as well as other reported transfers). Just thought I would throw these topics out there as it seems that site traffic is winding down for the long and rainy days of Spr-ummer.
