I’m willing to bet that they haven’t cleaned all the confetti and debris left over from the celebration(s) in Storrs, but the pundits are already prognosticating the year ahead in college basketball. If the predictions are true, the Boilers are expected to (pillow) fight Northwestern, Indiana, and Rutgers for the honor of going to the NIT or the CBI. Of course Indiana will never go to the CBI, but maybe Crean can figure out a reason to give rings to his team for scoring 100 points against Samford and Chicago State. Unfortunately that may be better than any reason that Matt Painter could devise for motivational highlights of the year.
If you can believe the predictions, Matt Painter may indeed have a warm chair on the sidelines.
Lunardi at ESPN has 7 B1G teams in the dance: 1WISCONSIN, 1Michigan, 5Michigan St, 6Nebraska, 6Ohio St, 8Maryland, 8Minnesota. Illinois is a first four out team. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/bracketology

Anyone think that the Boilers will beat current expectations next year?
We could usually expect for Gene Keady's teams to outperform expectations. CMP admitted the failures of last year were on him, let's hope he does something about it. Boiler up!
