The season is over - one sentence on each player

The Seniors

Travis Carroll - hung with us for four years, and never developed much, but always played hard and didn't try to do too much...thanks, Travis, and good luck.

Terone Johnson - never could exorcise his demons (poor shooting, poor free throw shooting), and though he gave us four solid years, our lack of success these past two is partly on him. Still, thank you, Terone.

Errick Peck - put in some good minutes, had some good games, but never made a huge impact...but thanks for being a Boilermaker.

The Juniors

Due to a failed recruiting philosophy leading to multiple transfers, we don't have any.

The Sophomores

A.J. Hammons - dropped some hints that he could be dominant next year with more development...but absolutely needs another year before going to the NBA, IMO...and needs to develop a little nastiness in the paint.

Ronnie Johnson - flashes of brilliance, but really needs to start believing in the rest of his teammates and distributing the ball (seemed to do a bit better in the BTT loss to OSU).

Rapheal Davis - I really like the way he started improving near the end of the year, and if his attitude and desire continue, he will begin to be a force next year, and possibly the leader this team needs and has not had the past couple of years. (Winner - most improved player award)

The Freshmen

Kendall Stephens - needs to develop defensively and offensively, so that he's not a liability on the defensive end and so that teams can't shut him down on the offensive end...I'm optimistic that he will do very well next year.

Basil Smotherman - I like his effort a lot, and if he works over the summer, he can be a significant contributor next year.

Jay Simpson - very sad that his career is over, but very fortunate that he is healthy...his condition could have killed him.

Bryson Scott - winner of the "most in need of improvement" award...I'm not ready to give up on him yet but he has got to stop killing us with bad decisions on offense, turnovers, and lazy defensive effort.

I think we can be significantly better next year, and will be very excited (again) come November 2014!!
