Suddenly Purdue's NCAA tournament hopes have taken a slight upward glance as the struggling Eagles of Boston College pulled off an unforeseen win over the No.1 ranked Syracuse Orange, IU's last 2013 tournament foe. Purdue won the December 4th game against the Eagles in Mackey Arena in victorious fashion 88-67 for our share in the B1G/ACC challenge. Minnesota, however, did not provide much help by losing to the last place Illini, 62-49, at home in Williams Arena, in Minneapolis. The consensus from the member blog at Hammer and Rails has been that if Purdue can finish the season on a 4-2 run, along with a tournament win in the B1G, and the self-implosion of a few bubble teams, that the Boilermakers could make a case for the NCAA tournament. It's time to show MSU that Indiana is our turf.
