Not sure if anyone else saw this, or what the significance is (I mean final *8*, down from ..... how many?). Either way, it's a few days old.
[I don't seem to be able to embed a Tweet in a FanPost, but his list is copy/pasted below. I trust you can track down the tweet yourself it it's really that important to you.]
Alec Brennan final 8 No Order:
- Wake Forest
It's great to still be in the mix, and I know that a lot of folks with far more knowledge on Brennan are quite excited about him. I'll let them comment on strengths/weaknesses/whathaveyou. Looking at this list, I have to say that I like our odds. Clearly academics are a big priority here, but we certainly aren't disadvantaged there.
This is not the list of contenders we are accustomed to. Top of the list, you've got 4 Ivy league schools. Without being a total homer, I know a lot of folks think Purdue is Ivy league. You can argue among yourselves as to if that's because of the 'non-state-based' name of the school, or if that is actually a reflection of our academics. Neither here nor there. Princeton is the
Then you've got Purdue (Big Ten), WF (ACC), Davidson (Southern), and Stanford (PAC-12).
Of that 8, there are really only 3 in major conferences. I gotta say - I like our odds here. There's a lot more to it, I know, but it's nice to to be biting our nails over UofM or MSU here.
I also like the thought of how this recruiting class could come together:
- Dakota Mathias, 6'5" SG (verbal)
- Vince Edwards, 6'7" SF (in final 2/3)
- Issac Haas, 7'2" C (in final 7)
- Alec Brennan, 6'10" PF (in final 8)
