This is the problem that I have with recruiting. 16 & 17 year old kids who normally believe their number two's don't stink, while being told that it doesn't stink. They make a commitment to not only a coach but an entire university in front of their friends and family and the local news agencies. Then when it's over, all the attention goes away....so when another school with gold helmets comes along TWO WEEKS later...he thinks to himself...hmm...It wouldn't hurt to just take a bite of the forbidden fruit. The next thing he knows...he's decommitting from one school while having ANOTHER look at me press conference to commit elsewhere. I certainly hope he still comes to Purdue but this just furthers my hatred for coaches like Kelly and Calipari. They don't have to do the grueling job of recruiting like most schools do. They seem to let everyone else do it for them, then just offer who seems to be the best.
