Thanks DJ and Dru

I saw a thread posted on GBI thanking DJ and Dru for their contributions to the program. I hadn't seen anything like that here at H&R, so I thought I'd put one up. Who knows if anyone connected to them will read it, but it might be fun to reminisce. Feel free to share your thanks to our two senior players, and maybe some favorite memories as well.

I'm sure a lot of people will think of DJ's awesome offensive rebound and timeout against Illinois earlier this year, but I remembered something a bit longer ago. On March 13, 2010, many of us suffered through one of the worst first halves Purdue basketball has ever seen, as the team went into the locker room trailing Minnesota 37-11. The game was surely lost at that point, but DJ came in and played hard, scoring 11 points during the last 10 minutes of the 2nd half. A week later, he scored 10 big points against Texas A&M in the 2nd Round of the NCAAs. Those two point totals were his highest since the season-opener that year. It's easy to forget things like that, but they mean something nevertheless. He showed up in difficult situations as a freshmen.

So that's what I've got. Feel free to add your thoughts.

(And let's keep it positive. If you want to vent anger over this season, please be kind enough to do so in another thread. Thanks.)
