Painter's obsession with playing as many guards as possible has taken away Purdue's only real advantage vs good teams: Rebounding. Remember earlier in the year when Purdue was outrebounding teams by a wide margin? Well, it seems like that advantage went away when Painter ditched Lawson for Ray Davis in the starting lineup. Trading a PF like Hale/Lawson gives Purdue what? More missed 3 pointers? I understand Painter has said he doesnt play Lawson because of matchup problems vs certain teams but I'd like to see 2 post toasties and 3 guards from now on so Purdue can get back to outrebounding teams and getting put back baskets instead of more missed 3 pointers.
