Your love for the 4 guard/1 post lineup has cost the Boilers again. How did you beat the Illini in the first meeting? You played Jacob Lawson who had a great night getting rebounds and preventing 2nd chance points for the Illini. How did you get blown out in the rematch? You decided to neglect Mr. Lawson again and play your 4 guard lineup. This lead to Illinois getting 17 offensive rebounds and outrebounding the Boilers by double digits! Now, its time to admit your approach is wrong. Even with 4 guards, who are supposed to be able to handle the ball and make good decisions, Purdue turned the ball over 17 times. Against IU, this will be a recipe for the most lopsided loss in the history of Purdue. The only chance you have of competing the rest of the year if playing a BIG lineup where you can do what got you a couple wins early in the B1G season in the first place - crash the boards!
I'd like to see
Hammons
Lawson
Ray Davis or Hale
Terone
Ronnie
You can bring Byrd off the bench to shoot 3's during the game if you'd like, but its time to quit giving up the only thing this team does right - rebound and crash the boards!
