Thanks to USA Diving having it's training center located in Indianapolis for so many years, Purdue has been able to lure many of the nation's top divers.
David Boudia has been the best known of the group so far, by dominating the sport of diving for several years. Next year's freshman class has potential to be equal or greater than Boudia's legacy. Boudia again proved to be a National Champion in the 3m springboard in Texas today. In addition, future Boilers Steele Johnson and Anna James also earned the status of National Champions.
Steele Johnson is a three time National Champion in 10m platform and dominated the competition today with one dive earning six 10s. Johnson also won the synchronized title with David Dinsmore for 10m platform on Saturday.
Anna James won the National Title for 10m synchronized with Jessica Parratto and placed second in the individual 10m competition.
Along with Boudia, both Johnson and James will be representing the USA in China at the 2014 FINA World Cup next summer.
Looks like Purdue diving is going to be pretty good for years to come.
