Was listening to University of Miami basketball coach Jim Larranaga on the local South Florida sports talk radio and the discussion of storming the court after a big win was brought up. Larranaga was all into the idea of fans storming the court as a distinct expression of enthusiasm and wished Miami fans would storm the court after every win, especially tonight as they take on top ranked Duke at home. I get the sense that as Purdue fans we eschew the idea of storming the court after a big win and in my memory I cannot seem to recall a moment when fans stormed the court at Mackey. I also remember that some of us gave IU fans some shit for storming the court at Assembly Hall after the Kentucky win. I can understand the cathartic nature of that win for the IU program and the last second drama that would make storming the floor perfectly understandable and spontaneous.
