Just read an article on Ross (http://www.news-sentinel.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20120821/SPORTS/120829948/1013), which sounds great that he has cleared up his personal issue and can now refocus on football.
But football experts, pls enlighten me here. I know we have a lot of speed in our WR corp: Ross, Edison, Bush, Mostert, even Henry (if he plays WR) are all excellent speedsters. So how can we best utilize this strength? It isn't just ONE guy who is a speedster - EVERYONE is fast.
The first obvious thought is to go deep. If one of our speedy WRs can beat his man, and the QB finds him, it's an automatic TD. But at this point, CTB is the starting QB and going deep is simply not his strength. Heck, the QB (whoever he is) often had to roll out last year to escape rushes that he never seem to have the time to stay in the pocket to throw.
So any suggestion (other than Hope's favorite bubble screen) to make use of the speed we have? It just seems to me that no matter how "speedy" you are, if you run into a bunch of defenders after 3 yards, speed just isn't helping much.
P.S. Another question: how come we use CMP to refer to Coach Matt Painter, but never CDH?
