For what it is worth I wanted to look into the competition of the one team that challenged Purdue in Italy and that was Atletas Kaunas (AK). We, along with Tennessee, VCU, Georgia, and Arkansas played them in the past week.
VCU 85 - AK 47
VOLS 82 - AK 68
UGA 90 - AK 95
UA 84 - AK 67
Obviously don't know the circumstances of the games, i.e. did they play multiple games in a day or a late game followed by a early day game where fatigue could play a factor. Also read about Painter allowing one of their best players stay on the floor after fouling out. Whatever the mitigating circumstances for the scores in these games were, I put my enthusiasm in check a little seeing that other schools seemed to handle them easily.
