As I posted my plans a few months ago I made my first return to campus in well over 20 years. My thanks to those of you that made recommendations for my visit. Higlights -1. Mackey Arena was open and I was able to see the entire public areas. Great job except for the executive seating area that seems a waste of space but I guess they donate plenty. 2. Ross Ade gates were open so we were able to walk around in the football stadium and could see the upgrades made. 3. Saw the "Old Sweet shop and the Wabash River" - reminded me of some song 4. Visited Harry's - actually just about 10 hours before Bade's visit 5. Engineering Mall is great but I like the old fountain better (just prejudice I think) 6. Visited my old dorm (Tarkington Hall) and saw my old room - forget how small it was and how small the communal bathroom was. 7. Visited the upgraded golf courses - did not have time to play plus it was 104F that day, Robbie H and his Dad played the day of the draft but I came the next day. Found out Robbie spent draft night at Bruno's but I was watching draft at Scotty's - oh well All in all a great visit and was really impressed with the campus. Trying to figure out how to get to a football or basketball game.
