So, I know that H&R user ESPN8TheOcho already made a FanShot about this and linked to the story, but this deserves a post with a big headline on the front page of the site. Again, inebriated Purdue Cornerback Sean Collins was picked up outside of "Where Else?" on Chauncey Hill for allegations of battery. Collins supposedly hit 22-year-old Holly Fullerton in the face outside of the bar and attempted to flee the scene. He was eventually cuffed and processed and is being charged with public intoxication, resisting arrest and battery resulting in serious injury. Fullerton, the victim, has already been treated and released. Collins' flee from the scene and the ensuing police chase remains under investigation.
To be blunt, I can't believe yet another Purdue football player was arrested outside of a campus bar. I don't know what it is about some of our athletes, but this is becoming a serious problem and Coach Hope, along with other Purdue sports coaches, should be working to put a stop to this recurring behavior immediately.
Anyways, here is the link to the WLFI news story on the incident: http://www.wlfi.com/dpp/news/local/purdue-football-player-arrested-for-battery. I will comment more on this subject later on.
