Looking over the NCAA Team Statistics to see where Purdue finished this season. They highlight 18 metrics and rank the 338 Division 1 teams accordingly. I'll list each metric below but in a nutshell the numbers speak volumes as to how poorly the 2011-2012 Purdue men's basketball team played on the defensive end. Most of the defensive statistics find Purdue in the bottom 50% of all Division 1 teams. Pretty sure that's not the kind of basketball Matt Painter prefers.
On a positive note, we took very good care of the basketball and that is no small feat. A pretty good three point shooting team. Also, we sucked free throws and there is absolutely no excuse for that.
