Big thanks to charelspig for posting the link to this scholarship site. I find it tough enough to keep up with our own recruiting efforts, let alone have a clue what is going on around the rest of the B1G. As I was looking over Purdue's commits, I took a stroll around the Big Ten and noticed quite the trend. The Big Ten is going BIG in 2012. AJ Hammons is just one of several bigs coming into the conf next season. 4 others are beefing up the center position which will likely put pressure on some of the conference's current bigs. I don't know much about Olah, but the other 4 bring a lot of talent.
New in 2012
Purdue:AJ Hammons 7' 0"
Indiana: Peter Jurkin 7' 0" - and they need him because Zeller is not a center
Michigan: Mitch McGary 6' 10"
Iowa: Adam Woodbury 7' 0"
Northwestern: Alex Olah 6' 11"
Currently / still expected to be on the rosters
Illinois: likely still saddled with Meyers Leonard
Wisconsin: a collection of big oafs at 6' 10"
Nebraska: has Jorge Diaz 7' 0"
Minnesota: similar situation to Wiscy
Penn State: a couple of 6' 11" frosh this year
Ohio State: has Amir Williams at 6' 10"
Michigan State: has Derrick Nix at 6' 9" and Adreian Payne at 6' 10"
