Hey Everybody,

Been reading the site for a while and finally took the plunge and created an account.

Wanted to ask about something that's been on my mind for a while. With the creation of the Big Ten Hockey Conference, I have constantly been thinking about the possibility of Purdue turning their club team into a varsity team, much like Penn State has. I realize Penn State had a little help (ok, a LOT of help...), but I was curious to see if there were any hockey fans out there that are hoping with me that Purdue will one day not only make hockey a varsity sport (men's and women's so as to keep the equal #), but also build an ice complex on campus.

I do realize that it is Indiana, and much more a basketball and football market, but with the growth that the NHL has been experiencing , maybe it's not too far down the road. I would love to see the gold and black on the ice sometime at least in the next 20/30 years.
