Well, unofficially although almost certainly Illinois has found a basketball coach in Ohio's John Groce who is fresh off of a sweet sixteen appearance and a near upset of North Carolina. Groce looks like Illinois 5th or 6th choice but fans have got to be thankful the search is finally over after being turn down by so many suitors (Not that being turned down by Smart and Stevens is an insult to the program. Both have turned down other offers.) A quick look over at Hail to the Orange gives the impression that Illinois fans aren't too happy about the hire. While not a big splash hire, he looks like a good coach who can recruit well enough and bring some life back into the program. Out of curiosity, what do you guys think about the hire?
