I've noticed that, in recent years, more and more players have blown out their knees in basketball...and this isn't just Purdue players. Only from the last few weeks:
Ricky Rubio- PG, Minnesota Timberwolves, NBA
Branden Dawson- MSU
People seem to think there's some kind of problem at just Purdue with ACL injuries. Seems to me like this is something bigger...maybe a problem with the way people play the sport these days. I was in downtown Indy with my dad last night and he pointed out that players wear shoes that have a stickier grip on the floor...maybe that's part of the reason why twisting your knee is that much easier to do.
