PrintI posted that IU fans booed Rapheal Davis and that he smiled ear to ear. In response Just AJ claims that Purdue fans Screamed Racial slurs at Hanner Perea two weeks ago in Indy. Let me say that I never heard anything like that ever! I know many of you were there if anyone heard that please post it. While I am going to try to take the high road and not call someone a Liar. I think this crosses the line! Defend your school but to claim this is simply wrong on so many levels. How can you go there!I wish I could put into words how bad this makes me feel! So sorry to all Purdue fans that this happened on my post. Please forgive me I didn't expect that kind of response to anything I posted. I truely regret my part in this.

This has nothing to do with you. There are d-bags that cheer for every school. And whether or not this actually happened really doesn’t matter. The fact that this one time someone who may or may not have been a Purdue fan may or may not have yelled something mean to a player has nothing to do with anything really.
What IU fans don’t get is that we don’t claim to be a perfect fanbase, we take pride in the fact that most of our fans are alums, and are attached to the University. That doens’t mean they are all perfect, but it does make us different than IU fans, and for that we are proud.

I know racists who went to Purdue, it’s entirely possible. But I still doubt it.

He has never been anything but respectful and contributed a lot to some of our conversations. I don’t think he made anything up to be spiteful. He probably thought he heard that for real. And maybe he even did.

I was getting my info second hand from John and TMill and I thought they had said it was Purdue fans.
But let’s take a moment to point out there were 835 people in that gym that day. Are you telling me you could hear every damn word everyone said? Dude, you’re losing your credibility fast. Speaking of credibility, did you go back and watch the Hammons vs. Perea game like I did? I think you’ll find your story line in relation to the truth are incredibly inaccurate.

He puts in countless hours combing over our recruits and possible recruits and then lets us reap the benefits of his labor, yet this is how some people are going to treat him? So maybe ONE of his reports wasn’t 100% accurate. Give him a freaking break! Maybe he didn’t quite remember the game clearly. After all, he is OLDboiler! Also, after everything AJ spewed over on CQ I had to watch some of the game myself. I watched the whole first half and wouldn’t you now it, AJ’s posts were wrong! At the end of the half he didn’t get A.J.‘s point total right, he did’t get A.J.’s block total right, and all of those points he said Perea scored on Hammons were not at all! I come on here for two main reasons:
1. To read T-Mill’s work on our basketball team
2. To read Oldboiler’s work on our recruits
c) To get the opinions of others about the state of Boilermaker Basketball
After this little run in with AJ, Oldboiler has been MIA for 2 days. 2 DAYS! That worries me for an old guy. Oldboiler, give us a sign that you will grace us again with your reports on our Baby Boilers!!!

Hammons did not get dominated
a little slow in the feet still, but he’ll be just fine. He won’t be a savior next year but he’ll be an upgrade. Think of him as a Myers Leonard type. Probably won’t be huge as a freshman but should get significantly better as a sophomore.
