Call it an attempt to bring closure to Kelsey's time with the team. Call it inappropriate. Call it what you will. It seems to me that Kelsey has hit us with the ultimate Goofus / Gallant. We had a nice run of these a while back, and while we seemed to be having more 'GD,B' moments lately than 'GDB' moments, he seemed to always provide that glimpse of his alter ego.

What's truly unfortunate is that Kelsey had come back from the brink and become an integral part of the team - both on offense and defense. Unfortunately (or maybe fittingly), this is how it has to end for Kelsey at Purdue.

Gallant: Asks his friends for help when drunk and confused
Goofus: Drags others into his own mess, and gets his friend arrested

Gallant: Uses his athleticism to burn his defender
Goofus: Dunks the ball while putting his crotch in Sullinger's face
